Raipur: POPULAR Stand-up comedian and actor Krishna Abhishek had a courtesy call on Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel at his official residence in Raipur on Wednesday. The Comedian discussed with the Chief Minister on shooting schedule of his upcoming feature film in the state.
Krishna Abhishek informed that the shooting of his next feature film ‘Shriman Aishwarya Rai’ is scheduled for 10 days in the state starting from August 25. Shreyash Talpade and Kiku Sharda will be the lead actors in the film. The shooting of some episodes of OMG India Programme in Chhattisgarh is also being planned, he informed the Chief Minister.
Chief Minister Baghel expressed happiness over the shooting of the film in the state and assured Krishna Abhishek of all possible support for the production of the film in the state. The Chief Minister said that the State Government is preparing a new film policy which will have the provision for promoting the production of feature films in the state. The artists from Chhattisgarh have the potential to shine and the objective of the new film policy will be to promote the local artists. The state has beautiful locations for shooting films from Surguja to Bastar which can be showcased through films. With air services available at Raipur, Jagdalpur, and Bilaspur, the film production activities will get a major boost, he added.
Vikki Malhotra, Rikki Malhotra, Navin Rathore, Bhojraj Navani, Pranit Sundrani, Rishu Hora, and Shiv Vishwakarma were also present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister on the occasion telephoned renowned Bollywood actor Dharmendra and enquired about his health. Chief Minister also invited him to Chhattisgarh while outlining the similarities between Punjab and Chhattisgarh as the name of both states based on numbers.
