Raipur. The state of Chhattisgarh at war with the COVID infection. Currently, more than 47 thousand people are undergoing tests daily. The number of tests per day increased from 30 thousand in March to more than 47 thousand in April. The state's daily test is 1620 (per 10 lakh population). Thirty-one government and five private labs can perform the Truenat test. Seven government labs and five private labs have the RTPCR test facility.
Mahasamund, Kanker and Korea have four new government RTPCR labs coming up.
There are 1 lakh 18 thousand 636 active cases in the state right now. Most active cases are in Raipur, Durg, Rajnandgaon, Balodabazar, Bilaspur, Mahasamund, Korba and Bemetara. Out of 63 lakh 62 thousand 947 COVID tests, 4 lakh 86 thousand 244 tested positive, out of which 3 lakh 62 thousand 301 patients are now healthy. The state has 604 containment zones, most of which are in Raipur, Rajnandgaon, Korba and Gariaband.
The state has six dedicated COVID hospitals and 137 Covid Care Centers, including six medical colleges and AIIMS. The Government COVID Hospital has 4686 beds, and COVID Care Center has 14,608. The Government COVID Hospital has 510 ICUs, 504 HDUs and also 1915 oxygen-rich beds.
More than 2.5 lakh people in the state are under home isolation, out of which 90 per cent are now well. Control rooms in each district are monitoring home isolated patients. Every day, an average of 2.13 lakh people are receiving vaccination in the state. A total of 46.44 lakh people have received the vaccination, including health workers, front-line workers and citizens above 45 years of age. 36.47 lakh citizens over 45 years have received the first dose, and 1.11 lakh people have gotten the second.
