Raipur: National Lok Adalat, held in Chhattisgarh, has resolved more than 10,000 cases and passed awards of more than Rs.2.39 crore in motor accident cases on Saturday. For the first time, mobile Lok Adalat vans were introduced to reach out to the differently-abled clients and others for settling their cases.

On the initiative of the state government, nearly 1000 cases related to violation of section 188, registered during the CoVID restriction period, were taken back during the Lok Adalat, which were organized across the state in the courts from Taluka to High Court in the state.

Chhattisgarh High Court acting chief justice Prashant Mishra, who is also the executive chairman of state legal services authority, said each district has been given the power of special sitting of a magistrate for the  Lok Adalat, on the basis of which small cases have been resolved with the approval of the parties.
