Raipur. Today, the state Health Minister, TS Singhdeo, informed about the 15,000 Remdesivir vials in Chhattisgarh and answered former Minister Ajay Chandrakar's questions. Health Minister TS Singhdeo said that the senior public representatives of the Bharatiya Janata Party have become involved in the propaganda. He further said that it appears that they are trying to undermine the actions of the Government of Chhattisgarh and the Health Department by presenting the wrong facts under a well thought out strategy. Along with this, while reacting to Ajay Chandrakar's questions, he said that on March 22, Maharashtra Government bought Remdesivir for ₹595, the Government of Chhattisgarh bought it for ₹1400 on April 16. The price of the goods in the market varies. The same situation has also arisen with Remdesivir; the government had entered into a contract with Cipla company, but the company withdrew from it. He further said that at that time, there was a great need for Remdesivir in Chhattisgarh, so our government called an emergency tender.
Health Minister TS Singhdeo put forward figures in Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. These states have purchased Remdesivir for ₹ 1568. The states had no choice but to buy the medicine at a higher price. He also showed a letter from Mylan Pharmaceuticals.
