Raipur. Chhattisgarh Director General of Police (DGP) DM Awasthi, while instructing Inspector Generals (IG) and Superintendents of Police (SPs) of all the range has said that officers, inspectors, and sub-inspectors facing departmental investigation and criminal cases should be immediately removed from the police station. 

It is worth mentioning that in the video conferencing earlier, DGP DM Awasthi had told all the SPs very strongly that there should be no negligence in the investigation of crime related to women. Any officer negligent at any stage should be suspended immediately.

Earlier, the DGP also directed to take strict action in cases of drugs, cannabis, and illicit liquor. He insisted on making such arrangements in all the districts, through which a senior officer should be supervising everything right from the registration of the crime to the arrest of the accused.
