BJP leader resigns after his audio using abusive words against Sahu Samaj, former CM goes viral

Raipur:Using abusive language against Sahu Samaj and former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh had cost BJP’s Balod district general secretary Pramod Jain dearly. Even as Jain tried to pacify the matter by resigning from the post after an audio of his discussion with another leader went viral, an enquiry is being done by the party to know who leaked the audio. Balod district in-charge Kedar Gupta said that the controversy over Jain’s statement was over after Pramod Jain apologised for his statement in writing and subsequently resigning from the post. The party has accepted the resignation of Jain, Gupta said.

Sources said that BJP State Organisation General Secretary Pawan Sai held a meeting with party’s Balod district president and other prominent leaders in this regard. He wanted to know how the matter between the two people became public. It was said that Jain along with executive member Raju Agrawal had a lot of discussion against Sahu Samaj and against the former Chief Minister over mobile phone. It was said that in this 35-minute audio, Pramod Jain had made objectionable remarks against the people of the party.

The audio of the conversation between the two leaders also reached the state in-charge D Purandeswari through a senior leader of Balod, it was said. Following which, the state in-charge had expressed displeasure over the matter and asked to take action against the leaders. Sahu community also got angry with the incident. A meeting was also held to take action in this whole matter.

Chhattisgarh Kranti Sena learnt to have complained about this entire matter to Balod police and demanded action against Jain and Agrawal.

Pramod Jain released a video aplogising to the people of Sahu community. Jain has clarified that he had a discussion with Raju Agrawal one and a half months ago. His audio has been distorted, Jain claimed. Former CM D. Raman Singh has also taken information about this whole matter.
