Raipur. Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana has proved a boon for farmers as the scheme is facilitating. Farmers can now fulfil their other requirements by using the money they receive under the scheme at regular intervals.
Pilsingh Nishad of Rasedi village in Baloda Bazaar benefitted under the aforesaid scheme. At a time when scanty/no rainfall has created a drought-like situation, the scheme has come as a respite for them. He could get his wife treated in a private hospital. Pilsingh is a marginal farmer and he has four acres of cultivated land. He had sold 56 quintals of paddy at Rasedi Society on MSP in the last Kharif season and he had received the payment in his account. He received Rs 36000 for his four-acre cultivated land under the scheme. The government had paid Rs 9000 per acre. He said that he had withdrawn Rs 20000 from his account a month back. According to him, ‘Sawan-Bhado’ months are the most difficult time for farmers and rural people after investing all their deposits in the cultivation. In such a situation, Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana has come as a boon for them, he said.
