Chhattisgarh DGP DM Awasthi on Tuesday spoke to the Superintendents of Police
and the police station in-charge over a video call on the complaints received as a part
of the Samadhan program.
An applicant from Shakti police station area in Janjgir district sent a complaint that he had suffered a fatal attack two months ago in which he suffered serious injuries. However, the accused has not been arrested. Awasthi directed the Janjgir Superintendent of Police Parul Mathur and the Shakti police station in-charge to immediately arrest the accused and provide information about the same.
Similarly, Amresh Kumar Dubey, a resident of Surajpur, sent a complaint that his daughter died in Ambikapur due to the negligence of doctors and no action has been taken far on his complaint. The DGP instructed Surguja Superintendent of Police TR Koshima to write a letter to the civil surgeon and investigate the doctor's negligence.
A victim from Bijapur said that his son had died in the accident and the accused has not been arrested by the police. The accused was arrested immediately on the instructions of the DGP. A complaint of illegal liquor sale received from Rajnandgaon and Dhamtari, on which the DGP immediately directed the Superintendents of Police of both the districts to carry out an intensive campaign against illegal liquor.
Besides, Devesh Kumar Sahu, a resident under Ukuda police station of Kanker, said that he is hearing impaired and needs a hearing aid. DGP Awasthi directed Kanker Superintendent of Police Ahire to make hearing aids available to the applicant.
