Raipur. On Friday, the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested two top officials of the Education Department for bribes. One belongs to the Block Education Officer (BEO) office of the Balodabazar district. The second is the assistant director of the public education department of Raipur. On Friday, the ACB team set traps at both places. The team had reached with those complaining about them. Both the officers were caught red-handed.

 

The action to catch the officers red and red-handed has been done simultaneously in Raipur and Balodabazar. The team of ACB officers has started action against the bribery officers by registering FIR in both cases. The first case is of Public Education Office located at Pension Bada, Raipur. Dr NK Aggarwal, an assistant director working here, had harassed an employee for a bribe.

 

He had demanded 50 thousand rupees from an employee to raise his name in the promotion list. The employee told these things to the Anti-Corruption Bureau. The officers asked the employee to take the money and accompanied him to entrap the officer. As soon as the assistant operator took the money, the team caught him.

The second case is of Balodabazar. Accountant Rath Ram Banjare in BEO office. It was usual for him to take bribes from someone or the other. The son of an employee of the education department came to him a few months ago. Rath Ram told him that, 'if you give me 2 lakh 35 thousand rupees, then I will get your father's medical care, PF money.' The young man complained about this. Rath had given the facility to take bribes from Ram in instalments, so the young man reached his office with 15 thousand. He was also caught red-handed.
