Raipur: Congress Law Cell state president Sandeep Dubey has alleged that JCC supporters present in the Nyay Yatra led by Janata Congress Chhattisgarh state president Amit Jogi and MLA Dr Renu Jogi in Marwahi (ST) assembly constituency are appealing people to vote BJP.
Dubey has complaint for the same before the election commission and district election officer on which a probe has been started by the central observer.
In his complaint Dubey has said that Amit Jogi and
his mother MLA Dr Renu Jogi are organizing a Nyay Yatra in Marwahi area without
permission. They are contacting voters on the pretext of distributing late Ajit
Jogi's book. As they are no longer candidates for Marwahi (ST) by poll, they do
not have permission to organize such rallies. During the Nyaya Yatra, they are
taking meetings in the Haat-Bazaars whereas Section 144 is effective due to
epidemic in the area.
Dubey said that his supporters are asking voters to
vote for BJP. Sarees, blankets, etc. are not being distributed directly, but
slips are being given which are later being picked up from shops. Dubey said
that he had complained to the Election Commission via e-mail on October 25.
After this, he met Central Supervisor IAS JS Gautam and District Election
Officer Doman Singh and demanded a ban on these meetings.
Collector said that permission was asked for this
Nyay Yatra on WhatsApp; however we did not gave any and also answered it on
WhatsApp itself. He has started an investigation into the matter on Monday and
has called for action within 24 hours.
