Under the direction of EOW/ACB Director Arif H. Sheikh, the team of ACB Unit Raipur, Jagdalpur, and Ambikapur grabbed four govt employees. The team caught them red-handed, demanding bribes.

 

An applicant had complained to the ACB that for payment of Rs 3 lakh for the school compound construction work,  the govt employee is demanding a bribe of Rs 20 thousand. After verifying the applicant's complaint, the team of ACB Raipur took action today. They caught the accused, Kuleshwar Gaikwad, age 60, CEO, Janpad Panchayat, Bilaigarh, District Balodabazar, at his official residence, Bilaigarh, accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000.

Another applicant had complained in ACB that Patwari, Halka no. 13, Ungarpal, Bhanpuri, District Bastar, is demanding a bribe of Rs.8000 for his (applicant's) transfer. After verifying the complaint, the Jagdalpur unit of ACB caught the accused, Mukesh Kumar Bisai, age 27 years, Patwari, Bhanpuri, District Bastar, receiving Rs.8000 in his office.

 

 Another complaint was against Patwari, Halka no. 26, Bheski, Tehsil Rajpur, District Balrampur. The Patwari demanded a bribe of Rs 50,000 from the applicant for B-1, map copy, and Plot number. After verifying the complaint, the Ambikapur unit of ACB trapped and subsequently arrested Amit Gupta, age 30 years, Patwari, Halka no. 26, Bheski. He got caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of 40,000 rupees.

 

There was a complaint in ACB against Patwari, Halka no. 22,23, Village Manpur, Tehsil Sahaspur Lohara, District Kawardha. The complainant said that the Patwari demanded a bribe of Rs 11,000 from the applicant for making a loan book. After verifying the complaint, the Raipur unit of ACB trapped and arrested the accused Gajendra Chandravanshi, age 37 years, Patwari, Halka no. 22,23, Sahaspur, Lohara, District Kawardha in his office. The officers caught him accepting a bribe of 11,000 rupees.

The above four accused are facing legal action.
