These sons of poor farmers will now study in prestigious IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology) and NITs (National Institutes of Technology) in the country.
Scheduled Caste (SC) student Jasvant Bandhe and Scheduled Tribe (ST) student Pradeep Kumar Dhruv qualified in this year's JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Mains and Advanced exams and after counseling, Jasvant got admission in IIT Jodhpur and Pradeep in NIT Warangal. The hard work and dedication of these students made their difficult path easier.
Under the Primitive Caste and Scheduled Caste Pre Medical and Pre Engineering Examination Pre-Training Scheme, they were given free coaching facility at Premium Career Launcher Academy Bilaspur along with free accommodation and food. Under the scheme, dropper children who want to prepare for these exams are benefited.
Jaswant is a resident of village Gahirabhedi in Rajnandgaon district and Pradeep is from village Gudrudih in Mahasamund district. Both of them have attained 11th and 12th education in Prayas Residential School, Bilaspur. This school is established for the ingenious students who belong to the Naxal affected areas as of which their education is affected. Both the students passed the twelfth board examination last year with good numbers. Jasvant qualified for the JEE Mains exam last year and was selected for NIT Raipur. But he wanted to go to IIT itself. Pradeep was selected at NIT Patna but he couldn’t enter as he was unable to submit the documents on time. But there was no shortage of spirits in both the students. They prepared again by taking the benefit of free coaching and appeared in the JEE Mains and Advanced exams this year. This time Jasvant has been selected for IIT Jodhpur and Pradeep has been selected for NIT Warangal. Similarly, by taking the benefit of free coaching, ST students Humanlal and Dinesh Kumar Khare have also qualified for the JEE Advanced exam. These students are grateful to the Government of Chhattisgarh, as this scheme helped them in realizing and fulfilling their dreams.
