Raipur: The post-poll arrangement made by the ruling Congress in the year 2019 has hot up political temperature over CM’s seat. A faction led by Health Minister T S Singhdeo has challenged Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel over the Chief Minister’s seat pact procured then by Congress higher leadership.
Amidst the political rift, Health Minister Singhdeo boycotted the Assembly proceedings on Tuesday clearly signaling for a change or else clear the air over his alleged involvement in the attack of party’s MLA Brihaspat Singh. He indicated the political thunderstorm in the pipeline in near future.
A marathon one and a half-hour meeting held between Singhdeo and Chief Minister Baghel did not yield any results, according to sources. Moreover, Singhdeo told the media, after his meeting with the CM, that ‘something is in the womb of the future and the Chief Minister will tell the rest. The Chief Minister also held a meeting with his ministers.
State Forest Minister and spokesperson of the state government Mohd Akbar said there was no resentment on the part of Singhdeo and the entire matter will be resolved.
Now CM Bhupesh has called an emergency meeting of all ministers at his Civil Lines Office. Ministers' vehicles rushed to the CM bungalow to attend the meeting. It assumes that all will talk over the topic of Health Minister Singhdeo's boycotted the Assembly proceedings and try to resolve the matter.
