Raipur: The state government has made OPD (Outpatient Department) and IPD (Inpatient Department) facility free of cost in all government hospitals of Raipur.
Any person holding Aayushman card or ration card will no longer have to pay Rs 10 for treatment. Patients will now only have to pay for certain pathology tests.
A health department official spokesperson said that registering online from the portal of the health department; free of cost treatment can be done in any government health center. The department has started this scheme as a pilot project in the urban health centers of Raipur. If this experiment is successful then it will be implemented in rural areas also. It will be implemented across the state if run successfully in Raipur. At present, more than 14 lakh people of urban areas can get the benefit of this scheme.
The facility will be available in Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Hospital, District Hospital, Pandri, Ayurvedic Hospital, Mother-Child Center Kalibari, DD Nagar, Hirapur, Gogaon, Bhanpuri, Gudhiyari, Rajatalab, Mova, Amasivani, Kachana, Labhandi, Boriyakala, Devpuri, Kanshiram Nagar, Mathpurina, Bhathagaon , Changorabhatha, Khokhopara and Ramnagar. More than 4,500 patients reach these centers daily for treatment.
Online registration system has started working in government hospitals. The OPD slip was immediately provided as soon as the mobile numbers of the already registered patients were mentioned. For some time in Raipur District Hospital, there was some problem in the portal due to technical reasons, but it was fixed in a while. No such complaint has been received from other centers, officials said.
