Ambikapur. The process of admission has started in the Government Medical College of Ambikapur. In the first phase, students from All-India Quota will take admission. However, no student showed up on the first day, but officials are optimistic that the process will pick up speed in the coming days.
After the establishment of the Government Medical College Ambikapur, it had had two zero years, while it also got its accreditation twice. The MCI recognized the College for the fifth session of the year 2020-21 after the four sessions. The Government Medical College, Ambikapur has a total of hundred seats and only after getting accreditation did the college management start preparing for admission. After NEET results, students applied to their respective colleges. The list of seat allotment in colleges was made available on Thursday. After seat allotment, the admission process, as per the standard of National Medical Council, was started in Ambikapur Medical College as well as medical colleges across the country from today. But no students came to the Medical College for admission on the first day. The college management says that all India quota students will take admission, and these students come from different states, so it is not possible to reach on the first day, and in the coming days, the process will speed up.
According to the College management tomorrow, the admission process will be in three phases. Admissions will be accepted from November 6 to 12 for fifteen seats of All India in the first phase. After this, admissions for state quota on eighty-two seats from November 13, and after completion of the state quota process, admissions for three seats of central pool quota will take place. Later on completion of the first stage process; there will be two stages of the mop-up round so that the leftover students can get a chance.
