State govt gears up to develop a Unified Farmers Portal for the convenience of farmers

Raipur: The state government is gearing up to prepare a Unified Farmers Portal (UFP) for the convenience of the farmers. Through this portal, farmers including farmers selling paddy on support price will be able to register to take advantage of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana and Chief Minister's Tree Plantation Promotion Scheme.

Besides, there is a plan to integrate other schemes related to farmers in this portal as well in future. The portal is currently being finalized by officials of agriculture, forest, horticulture seed development corporation and NIC. The Integrated Farmer Portal will be linked to the Bhuiyan portal of the revenue department, so that the land held by the Bhumiswami farmer can be matched with their land concerned.

Training-cum-workshop was organized by the agriculture department here on Tuesday for discussion and suggestions regarding the initial form of Integrated Farmer Portal. Officers of revenue, agriculture, forest, horticulture, food and co-operative societies of all the districts of Raipur and Durg divisions participated in the workshop.

State Information Officer PN Singh gave detailed information about the Integrated Farmer Portal through a power point presentation and resolved the queries and doubts of the officials. DFO Varun Jain informed about the provision of Chief Minister's Tree Plantation Promotion Scheme and the things to be kept in view during registration in the portal. He said that under this scheme, if the joint forest management committee, gram panchayat and forest land lease holder farmers do plantation and in the situation of April 2022, if 80 per cent of the plants planted during physical verification survive, then an incentive amount of Rs10,000 will be given to the concerned.

Agriculture Production Commissioner Dr. M. Geeta said that the purpose of preparing this portal is to bring all the farmers of the state on a single platform to take advantage of the schemes of the government. She said that soon after the finalization of this portal, the farmers registered on the portal of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Yojana will be imported on the Integrated Farmer Portal. She urged the participating officers to send their suggestions through mobile message or email in the next two-three days to improve the Integrated Kisan Portal.
