Bilaspur. Under the Chief Minister Yuva Career Nirman Yojana, the dropper students of the scheduled castes (SC) and scheduled tribes (ST) of the district, who are undergoing free coaching to enter medical and engineering colleges, have achieved remarkable success in NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) and JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) examinations this year.
68 students have qualified NEET exam for admission in medical colleges, 8 students have qualified in the JEE Mains exam, and 4 in JEE Advanced exam.
ST and SC students who want to fulfill their dreams by becoming doctors and engineers but due to poverty, they are unable to enter into good coaching institutes, for them, under the Chief Minister Yuva Career Nirman Yojana, free coachings are being arranged by the Chhattisgarh government.
83 SC and ST students who took the free coachings appeared for the NEET examination for the year 2020, in which 68 students qualified. Based on the ranking of 29 of these students, they are expected to enter the government medical and dental colleges.
Similarly, out of 13 students who were taking free coaching for engineering, 8 students have qualified in JEE Mains Examination. These include 5 ST and 3 SC students. 6 students appeared in the JEE Advanced exam, out of which 4 students qualified. These include 3 ST and 1 SC student.
