Raipur. Bird Flu is now in Chhattisgarh. National High-Security Veterinary Institute has had its first positive from a test sample. After this first confirmed case in Chhattisgarh; the State Government is on High Alert.
The institute has sent the report to the Central government, and they, in turn, informed the State Government. A few days back, thirteen crows and two-hundred-seventy-four poultry birds were found dead in Balod district. The dead birds' samples were sent to Bhopal for further examination. The Veterinary Institute is testing poultry farms regularly and monitoring them to prevent the spread of the disease.
The State Government is taking all the necessary precautions. They have alerted all the private, state-run poultry farms and notified all the districts. The government has also directed continuous monitoring of sensitive areas like the chicken market, chicken farms and water reservoirs.
