
Raipur: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel inspected the
Anganwadi center at R-Jamgaon in Patan assembly constituency of Durg district on
Sunday. Besides, on the occasion chief minister inaugurated 101 Nanda houses at
Patan in Durg district under the flagship project 'Nand Ghar' operated under
the community development programme of Vedanta group.
Under this important project of Vedanta group,
Anganwadis already operating in different states of the country are being given
state of the art form. Nanda Ghar Project was started in the year 2015 under
which 1700 Nanda Ghars have already started in the country. There are plans to
set up 4000 Nanda houses across the country with an investment of around Rs 800
crore. Vedanta Group is making significant contribution to the industrial
development of the state and the country through Bharat Aluminum Company
Limited (Balco) in Korba, Chhattisgarh.
During his inspection, the chief minister encouraged the children there by writing 'Children are the best' on the black board of the Anganwadi center. He also praised the Anganwadi centers during his visit. He said that this center with audio visual facility will help children to learn sports and games along with their intellectual development.
The walls of Anganwadi were adorned with beautiful
pictures of animals and birds. The Chief Minister said that Anganwadi is the
first place where children stay out of the house for the first time and get
acquainted well with various activities. This center should be beautiful,
convenient, entertaining and children must love it.
Meanwhile, TV sets etc have been arranged for audio
visual class these Anganwadi centers besides set up of a hygienic kitchen with
pure drinking water facilities. A beautiful environment has been created here
to suit a model Anganwadi.
On this occasion, the District Program Officer Vipin Jain said that the worker here, Mohini Mhaske and the assistant Devendri Shriwas, have done a very good work on nutrition and have made their center free from malnutrition. The Chief Minister also appreciated their efforts. Divisional Commissioner TC Mahawar, IG Vivekananda Sinha, Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, SP Prashant Thakur along with other officials were present on the occasion.
