Anyone can be CM if party wants: Baghel on two and a half years formula of CM’ship at Chhattisgarh

Raipur: In a major development, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday said that the party high command had asked him to take an oath and thus he did so. If the high command asks someone else to take the oath then he or she will be the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh.

During a brief interaction with some journalists at 10-Janpath in New Delhi on Sunday, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel made the aforesaid statement. He further told the journos that the states having coalition government can adopt two and a half years formula for the post of the chief minister, but Congress had a three-fourth majority in Chhattisgarh, and the government here functioning quite smoothly.

It is to be mentioned, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel met with the AICC members in Delhi on Sunday and discussed various important issues. After the meeting with Sonia Gandhi, Baghel has made his first statement before the media. Earlier, Bhupesh Baghel met with Congress Chhattisgarh In-Charge P L Punia. It is worthwhile to mention, Chhattisgarh Health Minister T S Singhdeo is already camping in Delhi since last week while Baghel was on a tour to Delhi on Sunday. Supporters want the remaining two and a half years of tenure of Chief Minister for Singhdeo.
