A tribute to Dr Subhash Pandey who died from COVID-19

Obituary

 

Renowned doctor of Chhattisgarh Dr. Subhash Pandey, Joint Director of Health Department and State Nodal Officer of Corona Control Campaign at Ambedkar Hospital, died this morning from Corona itself. He was 62 years old. He was undergoing treatment at AIIMS for two days after having a fever. Nayapara Raipur resident Dr. Subhash Pandey was the son of a great freedom fighter from Chhattisgarh's late Jayanarayan Pandey. Though Dr. Pandey was a noted doctor still he had a keen interest in journalism and cinema he was one of the biggest fan of Bollywood actor Devanand.

 

In the 90s, his daily articles were used to publish in other newspapers including the daily Navbharat. He has always had good relations with journalists of the state. Not only the news but also on the issues related to the health of the journalists, Dr. Pandey was proved to be helpful during this tough time of COVID-19 for local citizens. He had extensive knowledge of cinema. This short obituary serves as a tribute to Dr. Subhash Pandey  

 

The COVID-19 pandemic worsened worldwide, health professionals worked tirelessly to provide care for patients- some even emerged from retirement to provide assistance. These lives are also a reminder of the ongoing dedication and service of those who continue to care of patients at a time when Covid-19 cases and deaths are increasing in-country.
