Ambikapur. Vaccines meant for government hospitals in Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh was found in private hospitals. On Sunday, people over the age of 18 received vaccinations at Kamlesh Netralaya for 600 rupees. The Government has banned Private hospitals have from vaccinating. On receiving the information, SDM raided the health department officials. By then, 18 people had received the shots. The officials sealed the clinic. They also seized two vials of Covishield. Now the investigation is underway.
Investigation revealed that vaccination was started there on May 2. The team found two vials of the Covishield vaccine. At present, the Health Department is investigating the case.
The team had found one empty vial, and each vial has ten doses. Eighteen people received shots at the clinic, so there should be two empty vials. The Government received ten thousand dosages on April 29. The batch number is also the same. A day before this, the District Immunization Officer banned vaccination at private centres. A Government employee may be involved in this.
“SDM has sealed Kamlesh Netralaya, and the administration will decide further action against the clinics. The Health Department is investigating the Cold Chain stock. They are trying to ascertain which cold chains supplied the vaccine to the clinic.”
