Raipur: Herbal products of Chhattisgarh would be distributed as gift hampers to the participants of prestigious events to be held on the occasion of International Yoga Day this year. Designed and developed as the 'immunity boosters' this hamper of products has been branded as 'COVID KAWACH'. This special immunity booster hamper was launched today at hands of Chief Minister. Bhupesh Baghel at his residence.
It is noteworthy that under the agreement between TRIFED India and Indian Embassies participants of the programs to be held on 21 June on the occasion of International Yoga Day would be provided herbal products as gifts.
TRIFED has hand-picked the herbal products of Chhattisgarh. This COVID KAWACH gift hamper would consist of organic Bastar cashew wild forest honey green tea amla candy chiraounji and natural face pack and soap.
Under the leadership of the Chief Minister State Government has taken several measures to financially empower the forest dwellers through minor forest produce. The number of minor forest produces procured at support price has been increased from 7 to 52. Collection and Processing of the same are being done by women self-help groups at Van Dhan Kendra through Chhattisgarh minor forest produce federation. These products are being distributed under the brand name of Chhattisgarh Herbal Brand. Within a short span of time these products have been established at a national level. TRIFED is an agency under the Government of India that promotes the products manufactured by tribal people. TRIFED identified the herbal products of Chhattisgarh as the products' international quality standards and decided to distribute them as gifts. These gift hampers would be distributed to Yoga enthusiasts of the USA and New York on behalf of the Indian Embassy. Also, these hampers would be distributed as gifts in various international embassies in New Delhi.
