CG's NCERT based textbooks a hit among 11th and 12th students, also available online now

Raipur: Textbooks based on the syllabus of NCERT has been implemented in the state for class 11th from academic session 2017-2018 and class 12th from academic session 2018-2019 by the school education department.

According to the instructions of the department, Chhattisgarh textbook corporation in collaboration with S.C.E.R.T, books of 24 subjects of class 11th and 13 subjects of class 12th have been printed. These books are available for sale in six book stores of Chhattisgarh Textbook Corporation including Raipur, Bilaspur, Ambikapur, Raigarh, Rajnandgaon, and Jagdalpur. Apart from this, these books are also available with more than hundred registered vendors of the corporation located in different areas of the state.

With the contents of these textbooks published by Chhattisgarh Textbook Corporation completely in accordance with NCERT, it is highly good in quality and cheaper than any other guide or private publisher's book available in the market. Apart from the students of class 11th and class 12th, these books are also used by students preparing for competitive exams.

If these textbooks published by Chhattisgarh Textbook Corporation are received by the school, students, parents or anyone else directly from the corporation's depot, then a discount of 15 per cent is given in the price of each textbook.

Taking a step further towards Digital India by Chhattisgarh Textbook Corporation, these books have also been made available online on the Corporation's website www.tbc.cg.nic.in. Through this, any student, parent or other can directly order textbooks online. The books will be sent by the Corporation through postal post or courier as soon as the order is received. The postage expenses will be borne by the corporation under the amount being exempted.

More than 8.99 lakh books were sold by the Chhattisgarh Textbook Corporation in the academic session 2019-2020, due to which the corporation got Rs 6.15 crore. Similarly, in the academic session 2020-2021, 1.29 lakh books were sold, due to which the corporation got Rs 99.33 lakh.
