Raipur. Collector and District Magistrate Dr S. Bharatidasan held a joint meeting of nodal officers, Zone Commissioners, Incident Commanders and Health Department officials in the Red Cross Hall of the Collectorate premises here today.
The Collector inquired about the containment zones and directed the Zone Commissioner and the Incident Commander to visit. He also asked about the status of testing in the Containment Zone and ordered police patrols. He said that the health department employees should go to the containment zone with antigen kits.
He also directed the health department to arrange an ambulance for those above 55 years who test positive.
Dr S Bharatidasan has appealed to all to use masks, maintain social distancing and use a sanitiser. He told the officials that under Section-144, all shops should close by 6 pm. He also directed Anganwadi workers for active surveillance. He added that the containment zones should be monitored from 7 am to 10 pm.
Houses of people who are in isolation should have proper stickers and ribbons. He also asked for the arrangements of medicine delivery for such patients. The Collector also said that the police should file an FIR if they catch these patients wandering outside.
The Collector has directed the Zone Commissioners to print and distribute leaflets with the phone numbers of officers in charge. In the event of a creation of a containment zone, residents must not face any difficulties.
The Collector also sought information from the Chief Medical Health Officer regarding the new Covid Care Center.
