Raipur: Keeping in view the surge in number of corona cases, Raipur district collector has directed the officials concerned to convert affected areas as containment zones and to ensure proper sanitization of such areas.
District collector Dr Bharatidasan gave instrctions in this regard while chairing a meeting of district level task force for the prevention of corona held here on Wednesday. Expressing concern over increase in corona cases, the collector said that special caution is needed in such areas where the number of corona patients is increasing. He also asked to declare such areas as containment zones if needed.
Health Department officials said based on the data, areas where the number of corona cases is increasing include Amalidih, New Rajendra Nagar, Samta Colony, Ramkund, Dungania, DD Nagar, Pachpedi Naka, Avanti Vihar, Khamhardih, Mova, Tatibandh, Kota Talab, Hirapur. The officials told that such widely affected areas can be declared as Containment Zone to keep the situation under control.
Besides, the collector has asked to keep all three hospitals specially built for Covid-19 to be ready. The Collector asked Mana Hospital, Lalpur Hospital and Ayurvedic College Hospital to prepare for corona patients at the earliest and ensure the duty of doctors and medical staff there. He also asked to ensure availability of ICU in hospitals.
The collector asked the Municipal Corporation, Health Department and officials concerned to conduct testing in the crowded market area. He gave strict instructions not to allow spectators to enter without masks from all the entrances to the on-going match at the International Cricket Stadium. He has also asked to ensure that the spectators watching the match following proper covid protocol. He has directed to take action against the violators and impose penalties on the guidelines of prevention from Corona.
