80 percent of oxygen produced in the state will be provided to hospitals in the form of medical oxygen gas.

Raipur: The state government has decided to supply 80 per cent of the oxygen produced in the state to the hospitals in the form of medical oxygen gas.

This has been done in the view of current corona pandemic situation in the state and the need of oxygen in hospitals for treatment of severe covid patients. A notification has been issued in this regard under the Epidemic Diseases Act by the health department as per instructions of chief minister Bhupesh Baghel.

It has also been said in the order that 20 per cent of the oxygen provided to the industries will also be provided to the hospitals in the most critical condition. The order issued by health department special secretary CR Prasanna states that all the oxygen gas producing entities have to ensure that the production of oxygen gas is done in the factory with its full capacity without any interruption. All divisional commissioners and district collectors of the state have been made competent authorities for its effective implementation.
