Raipur: Over 1.13 crore vaccines have been administered in the state to protect against corona so far (till July 19).
92.45 lakh people of the state have been given its first dose of vaccine and 20.96 lakh have been given both. In the state, 3.9 lakh health workers, 3.16 lakh frontline workers, 50.36 lakh people above 45 years and 35.83 lakh citizens in the age group of 18 to 44 years were administered first dose of vaccine. Similarly, 2.43 lakh health workers, 2.21 lakh frontline workers, 15.36 lakh people above 45 years and 95, 915 people in the age group of 18 to 44 have been given both the vaccines.
In the state, 91 percent health workers, 100 percent frontline workers, 86 percent citizens above 45 years and 27 percent youth in the age group of 18 to 44 have got the first vaccine to prevent corona. At the same time, 72 percent of health workers, 76 percent of frontline workers and 26 percent of people above 45 years have got both the vaccines.
There is a target of vaccination of one crore 99 lakh 32 thousand 392 people in the state. These include three lakh 39 thousand 732 health workers, two lakh 93 thousand 040 frontline workers, 58 lakh 66 thousand 599 above 45 years and one crore 34 lakh 33 thousand 021 citizens in the age group of 18 to 44.
