Raipur: The Health Minister granted six months time period to department officials for the completion of various health-related projects including blood testing facilities in rural areas and infrastructure development of three medical colleges.
Immediately after his return from New Delhi to Raipur on Saturday evening, Chhattisgarh Health Minister T S Singhdeo held a meeting of the senior officials of his department at his official residence in Civil Lines. Singhdeo was briefed about the status of Covid-19 in the state and vaccination. He also discussed in detail with the officials about a possible third wave and preparations for the same.
Singhdeo emphasized the need for proper management of Oxygen and ventilators. The Health Minister also reviewed Dengue cases in the state and issued directives on the availability of adequate medicines for the same. He also asked the officials for making people aware of cleanliness to stay protected from Dengue. He also took stock of progress made towards the establishment of the Virology lab and Hamar Lab and Ayushman and Dr. Khoobchand Baghel schemes and directed for effective implementation of these schemes.
The Minister also discussed the promotion and new postings in the department. He said that the state government is working on the proper facility of blood testing in rural areas, so that rural people do not need to go to district hospitals for the same. The Health Minister also asked to ensure blood sample testing results were made available online. The Minister has granted six months for these works to get completed. The Minister also discussed the infrastructure development of three medical colleges.
