On August 9, the matter arose in the program of Prime Minister's Kisan Samman Nidhi. In his address during the program, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said- A few years ago when there was a shortage of pulses in the country, I had urged the farmers to increase the production of pulses. The farmers of the country accepted my request. As a result, the production of pulses has increased by almost 50 per cent in the last six years.
The Prime Minister's statement was shared on the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) social media. Referring to this statement of PMO, Chhattisgarh Health Minister TS Singhdeo has targeted the Prime Minister. He wrote this is the production of pulses in the last seven years. After that, he gave year-wise figures and asked, where is the increase of 50%? Production growth is less than 20% compared to 44% in the last seven years.
