Chhattisgarh HC issues contempt notices to two IPS officers

Raipur: Chhattisgarh High Court has issued contempt notices to two IPS officers. Notices have been issued to SP Chandra Mohan Singh who was SP of Koriya district and IG Surguja Ratanlal Dangi for contempt of High Court.

The case dates back to 2016 in which Chhattisgarh High Court judge had paid for traveling 454 km for Sold Innova to go to district court Baikunthpur and Manendragarh court during his visit to Koriya district. In a bid to register a criminal case against the guilty officers in the case, RTI activist Rajkumar Mishra had complained to the Charcha police station, even after which the action was not taken. He also made a written complaint before the SP Korea and IG Surguja. On which no action was taken. Following this, a criminal writ petition was filed by Rajkumar Mishra in the Chhattisgarh High Court.
