Bilaspur IG reaches Chhattisgarh-Odisha border for inspection, provides Rs 5000 to traffic police personnel in Bilaspur and Janjgir to help the needy

Raipur: Bilaspur IG Ratanlal Dangi is constantly visiting the various places to give the necessary instructions to ensure strict compliance of the lockdown rules and to boost the morale of staff working in this difficult condition.

In this line, the IG inspected current lockdown situation in Bilaspur and Janjgir district headquarters on Wednesday. Following this he reached Raigarh where he visited the Rengalipali check post set up at Chhattisgarh-Odisha border. He gave to the police personnel posted here asking them to ensure that any person who is reaching the border of our state has mandatorily bought a Covid-19 negative report. Failing so, they shouldn’t be allowed to enter our state, he said.

He advised his subordinates to behave decently with the people and urged that there should not be any complaint of misconduct. Following this, IG reached City Kotwali and inquired about the situation of district from the police officers. He also asked them to take proper precautions to avoid catching infection on duty. Besides, he urged them to take proper care of the employees who are infected and make sure to immediately help them whenever required. He also asked to ensure strict compliance of lockdown and ensure statutory action against the violators. Necessary steps should be taken to spread awareness among the people. Police is reeling under double challenge. However, the zeal to serve in this difficult time is very high, he said.

Meanwhile, the IG also provided Rs 5000 to the staff posted at squares and intersections in Bilaspur and Janjgir to help the poor people.
