Raipur. A total of 71 lakh 50 thousand 985 of Covid vaccines have been administered so far (till June 7), including the first and second doses to prevent Covid in the state. Seventy-seven per cent of citizens above 45 years have received the vaccination. At the same time, 100 per cent of frontline workers and 90 per cent of health workers have gotten the first dose. Eight lakh sixty-three thousand five-hundred-eight youths between the age of 18 to 44 years have received the shots. These include one lakh seven thousand 492 of Antyodaya families, three lakh 49 thousand 036 of BPL families, three lakh 26 thousand 659 of APL category and 80 thousand 321 frontline workers.
The aim is to vaccinate 58 lakh 67 thousand people above 45 years of age in the state. Of these, 45 lakh 32 thousand 937 people have been given the first dose of vaccine against corona so far. Seven lakh seven thousand 356 persons of this age group have also been given the second dose of vaccine in the state. Three lakh six thousand 944 health workers and three lakh 11 thousand 759 frontline workers in the state have got the first vaccine to protect against Covid-19. At the same time, two lakh 30 thousand 776 health workers and one lakh 97 thousand 655 frontline workers have also taken its second dose.
