Raipur. During the difficult and unforeseen circumstances of the pandemic, Chhattisgarh Police did their duty on the front line without caring for their lives. The police not only handled law and order during the lockdown and unlock but also showed remarkable patience. DGP DM Awasthi said the above things while acknowledging the brave Corona Warriors of Chhattisgarh Police today. About 500 officers and employees of Chhattisgarh Police were honoured by the DGP in a virtual meeting at the Police Transit Mess. In the program, Durg Range IG Vivekanand Sinha, Raipur IG Dr Anand Chhabra, Raipur SSP Ajay Yadav, Deputy Director Police Academy Dr Sanjeev Shukla, Durg SP Prashant Thakur, AIG Rajesh Agarwal were honoured with citations. During this virtually IG Ratanlal Dangi, Bastar IG Sundarraj P, Surguja IG RP Sai and all the SPs and Commandants also received honours.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel intends that Chhattisgarh Police should work with sensitivity while engaging in public welfare. In line with his intention, the police developed a new trust with the citizens during the pandemic. The Chief Minister has praised the work of Chhattisgarh Police on many occasions. This has boosted the morale of our police personnel, and they are working with constant enthusiasm.
DM Awasthi said that everyone worked bravely during the Covid period. The police understood the value of every single life and helped the people. Citizens greatly appreciated the police during the pandemic period. Citizens even provided essential items ranging from tea to water to the personnel on duty; this is our real achievement. We should strive to maintain this relationship. The police will continue to work for the citizens and will present a better image in society.
