Raipur: MLA Shailesh Pandey has come forward to support ailing senior journalist Tapan Goswami who has become bankrupt after his deposits spent on his treatment after being brutally attacked by two unknown persons in June last. The MLA has not only announced to take care of the journalist’s medical care but also a financial help of Rs 1 lakh.
It is to be mentioned, Goswami was attacked by two persons in June. Goswami’s both legs got fractured and he was admitted to CIMS Bilaspur in serious condition. Later he was shifted to Vagus private hospital in Bilaspur. After operation of two legs, doctors used steel rods in his legs and were discharged after some days. After some days, Goswami complained of pain in both legs and he consulted with the doctors of the Vagus Hospital. The doctors, after a thorough examination, confirmed infection and pus in the legs. Goswami was again admitted to the hospital for another operation on his two legs. Goswami was running out of money.
In the meantime, MLA Pandey came to know about the matter. Taking cognizance of the matter of his own, MLA Pandey took responsibility for the treatment of Goswami, He also promised to give Rs 1 lakh to Goswami.
