Raipur: Divisional Commissioner Dr Sanjay Alung chaired a meeting in Bilaspur on Friday to review the preparations for commencement of air services at Chakarbhatha Airport Bilaspur.
The meeting reviewed the need of police force, building for staff, barracks, office for the security arrangements at Chakarbhatha Airport and the budget required for the same.
Airport Security Officer R.K. Vishwakarma said that the airport requires more than 50 trained security personnel. Keeping this in view, police personnel are also being trained.
Alung asked to make schedule for training. Instructions were given to construct toilets for Divyang and to install sign boards as required. Instructions were also given regarding electricity, water coolers and other basic facilities in the terminal building.
Necessary instructions were given to the Chief Executive Officer of Nagar Panchayat Bodri for cleanliness and waste management. Instructions were given to the PHE Department for bore mining for access to water in the airport. A temporary ambulance will be arranged for the passengers and employees going to and from the airport for speedy treatment. Instructions were given to the Chief Medical and Health Officer for the same.
The Collector asked the officers of the Civil Aviation Department to pay special attention to the basic infrastructure required at the airport. The officials also inspected the airport. Other parts of the terminal were reviewed including the lounge, VIP lounge, security check room, child care room for passengers. On February 15, the Alliance Air Company team will come to inspect the infrastructure and security at the airport.
IG Ratanlal Dangi, Collector Dr Saransh Mittar, Superintendent of Police Prashant Agarwal along with other senior officials were present in the meeting.
