Raipur. Rising death toll from Coronavirus in the winter is making the health department worried. Today, during the video conferencing, the Chief Secretary spoke with the Collectors, Commissioners, District Panchayat and CEOs of all districts. He also gave several precautionary measures for dealing with the virus.
The Chief Secretary said that the number of deaths from Coronavirus has increased in the past two weeks. The percentage of deaths after the first twenty-four hours of hospitalisation has also increased. The Chief Secretary has emphasised quick testing and ensuring testing as per target, matching the tests per million with the rest of the country. Given the growing number of Coronavirus cases in Delhi and other states, he directed the Collectors to ensure the availability of an adequate number of beds.
The Chief Secretary also informed that Covid Appropriate Behaviour like - wearing a mask, Social distancing, frequent handwashing - needs encouragement and promotion. He said that we need to bring more awareness among the general populace, about COVID symptoms.
