Raipur. The second batch of COVID vaccine has reached Chhattisgarh. The second batch has two-hundred-sixty-five-thousand doses of vaccine. State Vaccine Store officer, Dr Amarjeet Thakur, told us those twenty-two cartons of Covidshield vaccines arrived from Mumbai on Indigo flight 6E464.

Health Minister TS Singhdeo expressed his happiness on the arrival of the second batch of the vaccine. He also appealed people to accept the vaccine, as it is our only shot back to normal life.

The ICU Chief at the Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Hospital, Raipur, Dr O P Sundarani and Pulmonary Medicine Chief, Dr R K Panda, got vaccinated today. Both the doctors are perfectly healthy and are back at work. Even after getting the vaccine, people will have to observe social distancing and mask rules. According to experts, it is the second dose of vaccines that develops the immunity in the body against the Coronavirus. The vaccine will be available to all from 9 AM to 5 PM at predetermined locations on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
