Raipur. Independence Day in the capital Raipur will start at 9 am at Police Parade Ground on Sunday, 15th August. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will unfurl the flag at the function. The national anthem will be played and a guard of honour will be given. The Chief Minister will read the message to the public and honour the Covid Warriors. For this, a full dress rehearsal took place today. The program will follow strict pandemic protocols as per instruction.
Collector Saurabh Kumar and Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Yadav were also present in the rehearsal. The program will follow the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare instructions to prevent Covid-19. Similarly, Janpad Panchayat and Tehsil levels will have no public functions. The President of the Janpad Panchayat in Janpad Panchayat offices and the President of the civic bodies in the urban bodies will hoist the flag. The national anthem will be sung collectively by the Sarpanch in the Panchayat Headquarters and at the Panchayat Headquarters and in large villages, by the head of the villages, by hoisting the National Anthem.
In such educational institutions, which are open, flag hoisting will be done in the presence of students, and the teachers will highlight the importance of Independence Day, but there will be no rallies, cultural programs, competitions etc. Since the function in Raipur and other district headquarters will start from 9 am, the flag hoisting program in government offices located in Raipur and other district headquarters will end before 9 am.
The national flag will be hoisted in all government/public buildings. On the night of 15th August, all government/public buildings/monuments of national importance will get illuminated.
