Raipur. About three-hundred officers and employees posted in various government offices Chhattisgarh might soon get their dismissal. These are the officers who had submitted fake caste certificates, documents etc. A high-level investigation committee has scrutinised all such complaints and prepared the list of offenders. Government servants, who do not have an adjournment order from the court, will be immediately dismissed from the service.
The General Administration Department (GAD) has also said that the Advocate General will request an early hearing for cases where the court has given adjournment orders. The GAD will suspend immediately suspend those who were working in an influential position and had submitted a fake caste certificate. They will also review cases departmentally.
According to the General Administration Department, a total of seven-hundred-fifty-eight complaints were investigated by the high-level committee from 2000 to 2020. Six-hundred-fifty-nine of these got resolved, and the remaining two-hundred-sixty-seven had falsified their caste-certificates. Several employees involved in such cases continue to occupy an influential position due to the adjournment orders. In the past few years, the Government has cracked down hard on such incidents. Such workers will be laid-off before the New Year.
