Raipur. The State Cabinet of Chhattisgarh has decided to keep the schools closed for now because of the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic. The Cabinet also decided to forego the usual Celebratory Programs on State Foundation Day. This year only the State Investiture Ceremony will take place at the Chief Minister's residence office.
It was also decided in the meeting to allow an exemption in monthly taxes on passenger vehicles in the state for September and October. Likewise, the limit for granting land to social institutions at a concessional rate was increased from 5000 square feet to 7000 square feet by the Cabinet.
Moreover, The State Cabinet amended the Industrial Policy 2019-2024, under this, along with micro-enterprises, small and medium industries will also be able to avail Fixed Capital Cost Subsidy. They also approved a proposal to amend the Chhattisgarh Industrial Land Management Rules 2015. Under this, the transfer of land will become faster in the event of non-utilization of the allotted industrial land on lease. The meeting also passed the proposal to implement all four schemes of the State Food Processing Mission Scheme by October 31, 2024, and the formation of a state-level appellate forum. The Cabinet also enacted the draft of Scheduled Caste Development Authority Fund Rule 2020.
