Bilaspur. City MLA Shailesh Pandey reached River View on Monday to persuade 316 employees of CIMS, who have been on strike for 27 days, demanding a pay hike and regularization in Bilaspur. The MLA told the protesters that they would accept their demands. End the strike now. On this request of the MLA, the employees asked him to give a promise in writing. Now it is being said that the Dean of CIMS will soon issue a letter of assurance.

 

MLA Shailesh Pandey, who reached River View at 1:45 pm on Monday, told the protesters that the patients are suffering due to this strike. Most people are not getting proper and timely treatment. Also, in a meeting held in Raipur on September 1, Health Minister TS Singhdeo has issued an order to regularize the employees at the earliest. In such a situation, there is no longer any reason to be stubborn.

 

District Employees Union President said that the MLAs were asking us to withdraw the strike and return to work, but we have sought assurance in writing from them. Even after 20 days of the Health Minister's order when we are not permanent, then if we withdraw now, no one will pay attention to our demands. He further said that we will not withdraw our strike until the Dean gives a timeline for our demands. MLAShailesh Pandey said that the hospital management is ready to give assurance in writing.
