Under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, joint account holder farmers will no longer have to give affidavit for registration, only self-declaration letter

Raipur: In a bid to provide easy registration and benefits to the farmers of the state under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, a partial amendment has been made in the guideline of this scheme by the state government in which joint account holder farmers will have to give only self-declaration form for registration.

According to the guidelines issued earlier, along with the application form for registration of joint account holder farmers, the obligation to submit the consent-cum-affidavit of all the account holders and other necessary records has been abolished. Now joint account holder farmers will have to give only self-declaration form.

The advantage will be given to farmers who had registered for the sale of paddy at minimum support price in Kharif year 2020-21, under the revised order issued in this regard by the agriculture department. There is no need to register under the scheme. The main crops of Kharif are Maize, Kodo-Kutki, Soya bean, Arhar and Sugarcane producing farmers to get registered under the scheme. In the Kharif year 2020-21, the area from which paddy was sold by the farmer at the minimum support price, if he plants other crops included in the scheme in lieu of paddy in that area, then he will have to get registered under the scheme. The registration of joint account holder farmers will be done in the name of numberdar and now only self-declaration will have to be given in this regard. 

Joint Secretary Agriculture KC Paikra has asked to ensure the registration process as per the amendment order. Under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, run by the Chhattisgarh government, for the purpose of increasing the income of farmers by reimbursing the crop cost of crop diversification, increasing production and productivity in the state.
