A day after the clash broke out in the Congress party meeting in Jashpur, chief minister
Bhupesh Baghel said that State in charge PL Punia has made it clear. Now one
should not spoil the atmosphere by questioning him again and again. What
happened is unfortunate.

to media persons here on Monday before leaving to Lucknow, chief minister said “the
incident which happened in Jashpur could have been avoided. It’s unfortunate,
it shouldn’t have happened”.

A
brawl broke out between Congress party workers during a district-level
conference held in Jashpur on Sunday. In this, former district president and
member of Board of Secondary Education Pawan Agarwal was giving a speech. During
this, he talked about the contribution of TS Singh Deo in the victory of
Congress in the 2018 assembly elections. He said that when the high command has
talked about the 2.5 years formula for chief ministership, now TS Singh Deo
should get a chance. Jashpur Congress District Minority Department President
Iftikhar Hasan reached the stage and snatched the mic from him. During this,
Pawan Aggarwal was hit and even got slapped.

Aggarwal has alleged that at the behest of Kunkuri MLA UD Minj, this incident
of scuffle and misbehavior happened with him.
