Raipur. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel venerated freedom fighter and litterateur Dr Khubchand Baghel on his birth anniversary. Recalling the contribution of Khubchand Baghel, he said that he devoted his entire life to the welfare of society and farmers. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will attend the birth anniversary celebrations of Dr Khubchand Baghel, a Gandhian thinker, freedom fighter and first dreamer of Chhattisgarh state formation, from his residence office at noon on July 19.
The Department of Culture and Archeology organized the program in the Mahant Ghasidas Memorial Museum auditorium, Raipur. On the occasion of the birth anniversary celebrations, the Chief Minister will honour the family members of Dr Khubchand Baghel, successors of the freedom fighters. On this occasion, Culture Minister Amarjit Bhagat will inaugurate an exhibition centred on Dr Baghel in Mahant Ghasidas Memorial Museum Complex.
In the second session of the program, there will be a seminar regarding the personality and creativity of Dr Khubchand Baghel. After this, Mahesh Verma and colleagues will perform a story based on Dr Khubchand Baghel's play 'Karam Chadhha'. Parliamentary Secretary Kunwar Singh Nishad will also be present at the function.
